Local students attend World Robofest Competition

The Techno Ninjas Sr Lego Robotics team are a community group of kids that meet each week at our Pro-Oceanus facility in Bridgewater Nova Scotia.  The students design, build, and program autonomous robots to compete in the main game challenge at the Acadia University Robofest Competiton. They are coached by our taleted Instrumentation Engineering Technician, Travis Thompson.

The Techno Ninjas Sr. Team came in first place at Acadia Robofest and were invited to compete in the Robofest Worlds Championship Robotics Competition hosted at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI. Pro-Oceanus was very excited for the team and happy to support their journey!

The Techno Ninjas Sr. Team returned for their third year at the world's competition and entered three events. They received a trophy for Special Achievement for coming in second place in their first round of the main game event.  They scored 8th place overall in the Sr. Division main game event. They also placed 8th place in the Sumobot competition and 5th place in the Unknown Mission Challenge. A huge congratulations to the Techno Ninjas!!
